Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Review

The Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge are identical except for the curved glass sides on the $100 more expensive Edge model. The phone runs Android 5.0.2 Lollipop with Samsung’s updated TouchWiz UI on the new Exynos 7420 octa-core 64 bit CPU with Mali T760 graphics and 3 gigs of RAM. It’s available with 32, 64 or 128 gigs of fast UFS 2.0 storage but there’s no microSD card slot. The phone has a 5.1″ 2560 x 1440 Super AMOLED display, a much improved fingerprint scanner, AV remote, heart rate monitor, NFC, dual band WiFi 802.11ac and Bluetooth 4.1. There’s a front 5MP camera and a rear 16MP camera with OIS and 4K video recording. The Galaxy S6 Edge has a 2600 mAh battery and the standard S6 has a 2550 mAh battery that supports quick charging and wireless charging (both Qi and PMA). Each carrier prices it differently, but on average in the US, the 32 gig S6 Edge starts at $780 and each storage increment adds $100.
